About Rudys Rescue
Dear Fellow Dog Lover,
I would like to introduce you to Rudy’s Rescue. We are a non-profit, all volunteer organization with a 501 (C) (3) tax exempt status. You probably know that Labrador Retrievers have long been one of the most popular breeds of dogs. What you might not know—and what you might find hard to believe, is that many of them end up homeless, abandoned, surrendered, and/or in need of being rescued from “kill shelters” and puppy mills. That’s what we here at Rudy's Rescue focus our efforts on - saving these deserving dogs who, through no fault of their own, have been cast aside and/or left to live a life lacking in love and kindness.
This process involves transporting, fostering, temperament testing, appropriate medical care as needed, including spaying and neutering, and finally adoption into a loving forever home. Our wish is that someday every animal will have a safe and loving place to call home and we will no longer be needed. You may see our mission statement, success stories (including Winchester, pictured above, who has found a loving forever home) and information on the many Labs we are currently fostering at www.rudysrescue.org.
Sincerely,
Amy P. Holtz

Copper

We are so happy and grateful for Copper. He is an important member of our family and a blessing in our lives. We love him so very much. Copper was born with the workings of one ear. I taught him hand signals (incase he loses the hearing in his other ear). Copper is very smart and catches on to new things very quickly.
He rings bells to go out and to come in. Copper makes us laugh he tries so hard to talk to us. He is very vocal. Copper has a real appreciation for music, he loves to be sung to. If you dance he joins in. We started agility in our back yard this summer he seems to enjoy it. Copper is a very loving and gentle spirit and everyone who meets him enjoys him. Copper has made many people and dog friends in the neighborhood and shares play dates between their home and ours. I have not found anything Copper does not enjoy doing and I know I truly enjoy him.
Merry Christmas to all of you at Rudy's Rescue and may God Bless in the work and lives you save/change in the new year.
Thank you so very much,
Pat, Lisa and Copper
