About Rudys Rescue

Dear Fellow Dog Lover,

I would like to introduce you to Rudy’s Rescue. We are a non-profit, all volunteer organization with a 501 (C) (3) tax exempt status. You probably know that Labrador Retrievers have long been one of the most popular breeds of dogs. What you might not know—and what you might find hard to believe, is that many of them end up homeless, abandoned, surrendered, and/or in need of being rescued from “kill shelters” and puppy mills. That’s what we here at Rudy's Rescue focus our efforts on - saving these deserving dogs who, through no fault of their own, have been cast aside and/or left to live a life lacking in love and kindness.

This process involves transporting, fostering, temperament testing, appropriate medical care as needed, including spaying and neutering, and finally adoption into a loving forever home. Our wish is that someday every animal will have a safe and loving place to call home and we will no longer be needed. You may see our mission statement, success stories (including Winchester, pictured above, who has found a loving forever home) and information on the many Labs we are currently fostering at www.rudysrescue.org.

Sincerely,
Amy P. Holtz

Dubb:

Hello, I just wanted to update you on Dubb (we renamed him Duncan) and he learned it immediately!  Just wanted to let you know that he is doing great!!  He has seen the vet who says he is in great shape.  He is so loved here.  We all adore him!  I really wasn't sure if Bella would ever enjoy the company of another dog, but she definitely does.  The often lay together, she licks his ears and they play all the time.  He follows me everywhere and loves snuggling with the kids.  I am so glad we adopted him.  He tolerates the crate while we are at work and greets us with a wagging tail and kisses when we get home.  He has been wonderful with the kids and their friends!  We will begin obedience soon!  Thank you again for saving him and giving us the opportunity to have such a wonderful dog.  Kim
