About Rudys Rescue

Dear Fellow Dog Lover,

I would like to introduce you to Rudy’s Rescue. We are a non-profit, all volunteer organization with a 501 (C) (3) tax exempt status. You probably know that Labrador Retrievers have long been one of the most popular breeds of dogs. What you might not know—and what you might find hard to believe, is that many of them end up homeless, abandoned, surrendered, and/or in need of being rescued from “kill shelters” and puppy mills. That’s what we here at Rudy's Rescue focus our efforts on - saving these deserving dogs who, through no fault of their own, have been cast aside and/or left to live a life lacking in love and kindness.

This process involves transporting, fostering, temperament testing, appropriate medical care as needed, including spaying and neutering, and finally adoption into a loving forever home. Our wish is that someday every animal will have a safe and loving place to call home and we will no longer be needed. You may see our mission statement, success stories (including Winchester, pictured above, who has found a loving forever home) and information on the many Labs we are currently fostering at www.rudysrescue.org.

Sincerely,
Amy P. Holtz

Ella

We wanted to update you on Ella. She is a joy to have around and so well behaved. She has adjusted well with her new family and surroundings. We have taken her for walks everyday which she loves. She greets us with love everytime we walk through the doors at home and is always looking for the next person to rub her belly!
We are so lucky to have found her and feel like she has been with us forever. You can be assured that she will be loved and well cared for. Ella has alot of toys, in this picture you can see one of her favorites her Horsey! a $ 1.99 Petco Special. We will be very excited to share Ella first Christmas Holiday together, we would keep you updated. I would also like to say that our experience dealing with Rudy's Rescue was a joy to work with from the first time we visited the website and meeting all the great volunteers, to the final adopting process. What a great organization! This was the first time we have adopted a dog through a rescue program, and everyday we feel very special to have had this opportunity and make a difference in Ella life.

Regards,
Mike & Annette, Nicole
